Seaon Opener

Well, its been a very, very long winter. The Hammer and I spent some of it at the YMCA doing TRX to try to maintain some form of strength. We have made a few tentative forays out on two wheels; the first was about 5 weeks ago out at the reservoir while there was still ice on the water - it wasn't too bad until the wind blew across the ice and produced an arctic blast. This encouraged me to put the bike back in the garage and wait. Got out a few times over the Memorial Day weekend and it was good, but I felt pretty stiff. Rich the Hammer has a century ride in North Carolina this weekend - Good Luck Bro! We are registered for the century ride on the eastern shore of Maryland for October - I have no idea how I will ever be ready based on how lame I feel right now. I guess that is the true meaning of optimism. Well, here's to the new season - Let's get out there and have some fun!!!!
